🌸 Learn More about BD 507 Valerian

Product Details:

Part of the Biodynamic Compost Set.

BD 507 stimulates compost so that phosphorus components will be properly used by the soil.

Annual Vegetables

One unit (1mL) stirred in 3 gallons of warm water for 15 minutes will treat up to an acre. A unit may be used for a smaller area.

Perennial Fruit Crops

Given the exponentially greater surface area in orchards and vineyards, some apple producers use as much as 60mL per acre.

A single tree has acres of surface area. Perennial fruit crops are fundamentally different crops when compared with tender annuals on a flat surface. The surface area of an acre of grape vines is many times more than an acre of lettuce. We are happy to supply greater quantities as are appropriate for large operations, though we also encourage farmers to grow their own valerian and make their own 507. It is the easiest preparation to make on your own.

A dynamic way to bring the influence of valerian to established trees year-round is planting valerian under trees (or at the end of rows), where feasible, so their aromatic oils infuse the earth around your perennials.

Ideally BD 507 is used in combination with soil sprays like BD 500 and the Pfeiffer Field & Garden Spray. Valerian plus these soil sprays helps initiate soil life to abundance, accelerating beneficial soil activity.
